ACTION AND MECHANISM

Analgesic, anti-inflammatory. Benzoimidazole derivative. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins.

 

 

INDICATIONS

- Local symptomatic relief of [PHARYNGITIS] or [STOMATITIS] that present with pain and without fever.

 

POSOLOGY

Oral-oropharyngeal route

 

"SPREAD MOUTH SPRAY"

- Adults: 2 to 4 sprays per administration.

- Children and adolescents > 12 years: 2 to 4 sprays per administration

- Children and adolescents 6-12 years: 2 sprays per administration.

- Children and adolescents < 6 years: Not recommended.

- Elderly: There are no special recommendations regarding the dosage in the geriatric population.

 

RULES FOR CORRECT ADMINISTRATION

- Mouth spray: shake the spray vigorously for several seconds. Then lift the spray cannula. Subsequently, introduce the cannula in the mouth and direct the spray towards the painful area. Press with your finger on the scratched area of ​​the button.

In the case of first use of the product, press the vacuum button several times until obtaining a regular spray

 

Do not exceed the indicated dose.

Do not eat or drink until 1 hour after using the medicine.

 

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Hypersensitivity to the active principle or to any of the excipients of the medicine.

 

PRECAUTIONS

- Hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid and/or NSAIDs.

- [BRONCHIAL SPASM]. Do not apply in case of a history of bronchospastic reactions (especially in patients with [ASTHMA]), [ANGIOEDEMA] or [ANAPHYLAXIS] secondary to the administration of anti-inflammatory drugs that inhibit prostaglandin synthesis.

 

ADVICE TO THE PATIENT

- Do not use for more than 7 days without interruption.

- Prolonged use can lead to sensitization phenomena, as well as irritation and dryness of the oral mucosa.

- Do not use this medicine if you are hypersensitive to salicylic acid and/or NSAIDs.

- Consult your doctor or dentist if the symptoms do not disappear in 3 days or ulcerations appear around the mouth. Oropharyngeal ulcerations may be a sign of serious pathologies.

 

CHILDREN

"TOPICAL SOLUTION"

-Tantum verde: The safety and efficacy of the drug in children <12 years of age have not been established.

-Propagate:

* Children and adolescents > 12 years: the same dose as in adults can be used.

* Children and adolescents 6-12 years: can be used with the corresponding dosage adjustment.

* Children and adolescents < 6 years: Not recommended.

 

EFFECTS ON DRIVING

ADVERSE REACTIONS

- Occasionally, excessive [LOCAL ANESTHESIA], stinging sensation, [DRY MOUTH], [SKIN IRRITATION] and local irritation at the application site.

- Respiratory, thoracic and mediastinal disorders: very rare [LARYNGEAL SPASM] and [ANGIOEDEMA] of allergic origin

- Gastrointestinal disorders: rare burning sensation in the mouth, [DRY MOUTH]; unknown frequency [HYPOESTHESIS] buccal.

 

ADVERSE REACTIONS RELATING TO EXCIPIENTS

- Because it contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate, it can cause [ALLERGY TO PARABENS], possibly delayed.

 

- Because it contains macrogolglyceryl hydroxystearate, it can cause [CUTANEOUS ERUPTIONS] and other skin reactions.
