COMPOSITION
The composition of Pankreoflat is as follows, per Tablet: Dimethicone, 80 mg. Pancreatina, csp 6000 U FIP of amylase, 6000 U FIP of lipase and 400 U FIP of protease. Excipients: sucrose, 256.4 mg.

PANKREOFLAT INDICATIONS
- [SENSATION OF GASTRIC PLENITUDE], [AEROFAGIA], [FLATULENCE]: Symptomatic relief of digestive disorders in which aerophagia (air swallowing) or flatulence (gases) occurs, such as stomach heaviness and slow digestion related to insufficiency of pancreatic enzymes
POSOLOGY
Adults: 1 to 2 Pankreoflat tablets at each meal, ingested without chewing.
RULES FOR THE CORRECT ADMINISTRATION OF PANKREOFLAT
Orally. Ingest the whole, non-chewed Pankreoflat tablets, preferably during meals.
PANKREOFLAT CONTRAINDICATIONS
Allergy to some of the components and in patients suffering from pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas).
WARNINGS ON EXCIPIENTS:
- Pankreoflat contains sucrose. Patients with hereditary [INTRODUCTION TO FRUCTOSE], glucose or galactose malabsorption, or sucrose-isomaltase insufficiency should not take this medication.
PRECAUTIONS WITH PANKREOFLAT
Intolerances may occur in patients with allergy to pig proteins. In case the symptoms worsen or persist for more than 10 days, severe and unexplained abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea appear, consult your doctor.
PANKREOFLAT INTERACTIONS
- Alcohol: it is advisable to avoid the ingestion of concentrated alcoholic beverages, since they decrease the activity of this medicine.
- Antacids (calcium carbonate or magnesium hydroxide): they can nullify the effects of these enzymes.
- Iron: possible decrease in iron absorption.
- Alpha-glucosidase inhibitors (acarbose, miglitol): Although no interaction cases have been described, it is not recommended to co-administer preparations with carbohydrate catabolizing enzymes with acarbose or miglitol, because they could reduce their antidiabetic effects.
PANKREOFLAT ADVERSE REACTIONS
Occasionally digestive discomfort may appear.
Pankreoflat has been discontinued in some countries but it's available in Spain.
