ACTION AND MECHANISM
Mercurial antiseptic, bacteriostatic active against gram
positive and negative.
It is formed from a hydrophilic colloidal solution.
INDICATIONS
- Disinfection of superficial wounds of the skin and mucosa: cracks, mechanical [SCARES], sores, fingernails of the extremities, [BURNS], healing and cures of [POSTOPERATIVE WOUNDS], etc.
POSOLOGY
Before applying it, wash the wound well (water, soapy water, hydrogen peroxide, etc.), dry it well, especially if hydrogen peroxide was used, since it can decompose the product. Apply a few drops on the wound and its edges 2-3 times a day.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- History of hypersensitivity to mercurial derivatives.
- Because it is a colloidal solution, it should not be used in the nostrils, eyes of newborns and disinfection before delivery.

Safety in humans : Adequate and well-controlled studies in humans are not available. Precautionary use. Its continued use is not recommended.

ADVERSE REACTIONS
In hypersensitive people it can produce skin sensitization (contact eczema).
Although very rare, the possibility of systemic toxicity typical of mercurial derivatives (acrodynia, nephrotoxicity) cannot be excluded when applied to large body surfaces with occlusive dressing and in repeated administration.
