fibroDAO® is a food for special medical purposes that is used for the dietary management of fibromyalgia caused by DAO Deficiency / Histamine Intolerance.
How does fibroDAO® work?
The Diamine Oxidase (DAO) of fibroDAO® complements the body's own enzyme, which is responsible for metabolizing histamine. Taking a fibroDAO® capsule before each meal increases the amount of DAO in the small intestine and therefore the ability to break down histamine. This accelerates the processing in the digestive tract of histamine present in food, which is the trigger for symptoms.
What does fibroDAO® contain?
The fibroDAO® Eficaps® capsules contain gastro-resistant tablets with controlled release DAO in the intestine that avoid the acidic pH of the stomach and tablets that guarantee the immediate release of active adjuvant ingredients. Each capsule contains four tablets:
2 white / beige gastro-resistant tablets with DAO release in the intestine.
2 purple Magnesium immediate release tablets.
Important remarks
fibroDAO® is not suitable to be consumed as the sole source of food. Use only under the supervision of a physician, who will recommend dosage based on symptoms. Keep out of the reach of children. Store in a cool place. The capsules must be taken whole. It does not contain histamine. Without gluten. Without lactose.
Conservation
fibroDAO® contains Diamine Oxidase (DAO), a thermolabile enzyme (sensitive to temperature), and it is advisable to keep it away from heat sources. If it is consumed according to the recommended daily intake dose, it does not require special preservation, but if it is exceptionally consumed sporadically and stored for a long time, it is advisable to keep it in a refrigerator.
Ingredients
Bulking agents: microcrystalline cellulose and hydroxypropyl cellulose; magnesium oxide (magnesium); potato starch; coating agents: ethylcellulose and hydroxypropylmethylcellulose; pig kidney protein extract with 7% diamine oxidase (DAO), rice starch; stabilizers: magnesium salts of fatty acids, sodium alginate and stearic acid; medium chain triglycerides and oleic acid; coating agent: dicalcium phosphate; apple concentrate, blackcurrant and radish, spirulina and apple. Vegetable capsule: hydroxypropylmethylcellulose.
