Bronchostop Antitussive and Expectorant (20 Soft Tablets)
ACTION AND MECHANISM
- Thyme: Expectorant, antispasmodic. Thyme favors the fluidization of bronchial secretions, by exerting an irritating effect on the bronchial epithelium, increasing the production of secretions. The expectorant effect could be facilitated by a relaxing activity of the bronchial smooth muscle, and a stimulation of the movements of the bronchial cilia.
- Altea (marshmallow): Antitussive, demulcent. The altea mucilage exerts a calming and moisturizing effect on the respiratory mucosa, inhibiting the cough reflex.
