Centella asiatica extract
ACTION AND MECHANISM
Asian Centella promotes, protects and accelerates healing. On the one hand, it works by incorporating and fixing to collagen two fundamental amino acids for the biosynthesis of structural proteins, alanine and proline, thereby stimulating granulation tissue, and on the other hand, it facilitates correct epithelialization by stimulating the biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycans, contributing with it to the reconstruction of the amorphous matrix.
INDICATIONS
- Healing of [WOUNDS], [CUTANEOUS ULCERA], sores, bedsores and other skin lesions.
- [BURNS].
- Adjuvant in the healing of surgical wounds and in the attachment of skin grafts, especially in cases in which good aeration and prompt drying of the process to be treated are of interest.
POSOLOGY
- Adults: 1 to 3 applications a day.
- Children: not recommended.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
- Hypersensitivity to the drug.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
Occasionally peeling of the skin, slight stinging sensation.
